The Met Gala is legendary for pushing the boundaries of fashion, but for the 2024 “Sleeping Beauties” theme, Boll & Branch took the concept to a literal—and luxurious—new level.
We’re looking back at this unique collaboration where the luxury bedding brand partnered with designer Prabal Gurung to create a custom gown for tennis icon Maria Sharapova. The twist? The entire dress was crafted from 20 yards of Boll & Branch’s signature organic Summit Supima cotton.
Eye Forward’s Grayson Kohs served as the Director of Photography for the project, documenting the fascinating journey from raw textile to the world’s most famous red carpet. Grayson’s cinematography captures the incredible 300-hour craftsmanship required to turn bedding into high-fashion couture. By focusing on the texture and movement of the daffodil-yellow fabric, he helped bridge the gap between home comfort and global glamour.

It remains a beautiful example of how Grayson’s visual storytelling can elevate a brand’s narrative, even on a stage as massive as the Met.
