COCONUT WATER is Devon Halfnight LeFlufy’s sophomore collection after graduating from the Royal Academy of Antwerp last spring. The Canadian Belgian designer has become a critically acclaimed offering that stylistically joined the dots between Antwerp and London.
His AW14 men’s collection confronts Tumblr ADHD and the miasma of the Internet with its effects for our newfound
visual collective memory.
Creating his own monogram and reacquiring symbols and logo’s such as a hash tag, the Pepsi sign and a Japanese Yen from their abstract connection to a product and revealing them into his signature patchwork, showing that he is more interested in personal brand reincarnation than actual consumerist critique.
Devon Halfnight Leflufy is merely re-asserting what he does best making luxurious men’s clothing through eclectic choices, but still enjoying the subtleties of street wear, which reflects in his glossy see through rubber coats, impactful knitwear, printed dress pants and mohair faux fur.
