I hope that you had the chance to watch some of the 24 Hour Le Mans race last weekend. It is one of the most famous car races in history and for the first time in sixteen years after a long history of winning the race Porsche returned to compete against Audi ( the most recent multi time winner ) as well as Ferrari, Toyota and Corvette. The course is over 8 miles long and the race is as the name implies twenty four hours long.
Audi sent this message to Porsche via a great new commercial seen during the broadcast and also on line on many of the car blogs and sites before the race.

The cars do not look much like the ones in Lee Katzin’s famous 1971 film ” Le Mans ” starring Steve McQueen but they are still very sexy and incredibly fast with hybrid technology and amazing on board cameras that made the coverage all the more thrilling to watch. At one point it was raining on one side of the track and sunny on the other as the track is over such a large area.
