I went to see this new show at the Palm Springs Museum last weekend and it is fantastic. It is such a well curated show ( Congratulations Daniell Cornell ) and beautifully installed. It is yet another part of the Pacific Standard Time collaboration. There was so much to see ( and watch – wonderful tim clips and a Charles Phoenix slide show even ) that I plan on returning to the museum again to see it again when I am in Palm Springs for the Photo Festival at the end of March. There are many expected images like David Hockney’s pools ( but always good to see especially the polaroid collages ) but also there are many surprises and it must have been a fun but daunting project to research. Also the accompanying book and or catalog is very good and well worth having. Please go see the show if you are in Palm Springs ( it is on till May 27th ) and support the museum!
