Bert Stern was one of the greats. His career was long and varied and he took some of the most iconic advertising and editorial images of our times particularily his most famous work with the late Marilyn Monroe including her last sitting for VOGUE at the Bel Air Hotel six weeks before her death. There was a documnetary film on his life and work released in the last year called Bert Stern – Original Madman which is supposed to be very good. I sadly missed it in the theaters but a friend of mine loved it and I will try to track it down for sure now – see the link for the film here
