Chantal Anderson photographed award-winning actors and stars of the new FX series The Old Man, John Lithgow and Jeff Bridges, for The New York Times. This shoot was interrupted by a Covid-19 scare, so Chantal and the New York Times team improvised by photographing the actors separately and creating these striking images.
This show began filming before the 2020 pandemic and didn’t resume filming until late 2021, after Bridges recovered from cancer and his own battle with Covid-19. Both Lithgow and Bridges express deep gratitude and love for the show that brought them together for the very first time. The Old Man is streaming now on Hulu!
