Chantal visits Calvin Marcus in his Los Angeles studio, a Baptist Church he transformed in his studio and private living space. The San Francisco-born artist is known for his unexpected, often absurd paintings and mixed-media sculptures.
His work was featured in the 2019 Whitney Biennial, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and is part of the permanent of collections of the Astrup Fearnley Museet, Oslo; Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris among many others.
