Chantal Anderson photographed rising eccentric pop star Rina Sawayama recently for a profile in The Cut.
Rina came to music later in life after a career in political science. She now stands at the forefront of the Y2K revival movement creating music that is cathartic to write and finding an eager audience in Gen-Z. Her new album comes out on 09/16.
