Rising singer-songwriter Charlie Hickey was photographed by Frank Ockenfels 3 for his debut album ‘Nervous at Night.’ Charlie joins the ranks of the talented artists on Phoebe Bridgers’s record label Saddest Factory Records.
Charlie sat down for a conversation with Atwood Magazine to talk in-depth about how his music deviates from the typical teen singer-songwriter and lands in a world that is incredibly self-aware. Charlie’s lyrics give the sometimes indescribable feeling of anxiety and idiosyncrasy a voice.
Charlie says, “Lyrically, the songs I love the most are the ones that give you a feeling that you can’t put your finger on. They put all the cards on the table, they describe something and stop at that.”
