Dewey Nicks | 150 Days of Rescue – Wonderful project for the ASPCA

That is the American Society for The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and if you can believe this they have been in existence for 150 years and they are celebrating with this wonderful achievement with the campaign ” 150 Days of Rescue ”

The fabulous Leslie Klotz from the ASPCA contacted us and asked Dewey to be involved in this very special project and he said YES!

From the site:

The “150 Days of Rescue” campaign will be supported by a short celebrity video conceived and directed by photographer and filmmaker Dewey Nicks, featuring a notable entertainers speaking up for animals in need and encouraging the public to do the same. Celebrity participants include Jason Schwartzman, George Lopez, Adrienne Moore, Julie Bowen, Krysten Ritter, Miles Brown, Beth Behrs, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jennifer Coolidge, Kesha, Martha Stewart, Edie Falco, Nathan Lane, and Keith Stanfield. The soundtrack for the short film is provided by composer and musician Owen Pallett.

So many people gave their time and energy to this project shot in NY and LA and we want to thank everyone who was a part of it in any way!

Here is how the campaign works:

In honor of our 150th anniversary, they are kicking off 150 Days of Rescue, a campaign seeking to inspire the nation in reaching 150,000 actions for animals in just 150 days!

Simply donate at least 15 minutes of your time between April 10 and September 7, 2016, to helping animals in need, and log it below for the chance to nominate your favorite shelter to receive a $150,000 grant prize.

We will feature the photographs tomorrow and in the days to come – today we start with the long form video which Dewey conceived the idea for and is FANTASTIC!!
