Everyone knows I LOVE cats but lately it seems….

that everyone is appreciating our furry friends! Front page of the NY Times Saturday September 1st ” With Claws and Agents, Stars Purr for Close Ups” about the new recent inaugural Internet Cat Video Film Festival at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis which an estimated 10,000 people showed up for read it here and then there is a piece in the September 3rd issue of Newsweek ” Cutting Edge Cats ” read it here also about the show at The Walker and then finally a great piece in the September issue of Wired ” In Search of the Living, Purring, Singing Heart of the Online Cat-Industrial Complex ” by Gideon Lewis-Kraus about how she went to Japan in search of the internet phenomenom – the most famous feline of the internet – Maru – ( with no offense to Keyboard cat and Nora other internet stars ) and never meets Maru ( who has a Wikepedia page I might add see it here but meets the custodians, managers and promoters of the Musashis – one the most important cat bands on the internet. The whole article is fantastic and hysterically funny. Japan started the feline craze on the internet and continues to surpass even North America with it’s obsession….Read it here I think Boomer and Grace better start earning their keep around my house!!
