The film by Aaron Sorkin’s tells the story of the riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic National Convention and the circus-like trial of political activists that followed the next year. The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Redmayne and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
The director reveals why it took nearly 20 years to get the project about the politically motivated prosecution of protestors made and why it couldn’t be more timely. You can read the article here
