I met Mannix Flynn through Perry Ogden in Dublin many years ago. Mannix is a man of many talents and now in New York one of his one man theater pieces is running at a theater in the Village. Presented by Liam Neeson and Gabriel Byrne and directed by Gabriel, I would highly recommend that you try to see this. Any chance to see him perform is a must if you love theater and have any interest in Ireland – it is the semi autobiographical story of a child growing up in rural Ireland and the widespread child abuse by members of the Roman Catholic Church. James X is a book that Perry just gave me to read and I wish I was in NYC and could see this.
