MOCA and KesselsKramer – A Conference on Advertising for People Who Don’t Like Advertising….

done in partnership with by MOCA and MOCA TV Laura and I went to one of the afternoon sessions last week. We were invited by the photographer Melissa Castro and it was great to hear David Charles from KK and then the great photographer Norman Seef speak. Norman’s presentation was about The Creative Paradigm Shift; The Creative Imperative and Embracing Uncertainty. One of my favorite projections was ” I think I did something crazy today….” Loved that. Kessek Kramers was founded by Erik Kessels and Johan Kramer in 1996, and is one of the most creative agencies in Amsterdam – and the world. The agency, based in a church, is famous for not liking advertising awards, showing irrelevant information on its website and for its many very creative, non-commercial side projects. And they opened here in LA last Fall – see the piece in the NY Times about the opening here
They also publish books and now there is a book called: Advertising For People Who Do Not Like Advertising – and the link to the site for the book is here Thanks Melissa for the invite!!!
