What an Oscars we had last night– So much to celebrate, including work photographed by our own Frank Ockenfels 3! This year, the film Nightmare Alley which Frank captured the key art for, was nominated in four categories.
To honor the Oscars, we’ve decided to take a walk down memory lane and revisit some of Frank’s iconic posters of films nominated or that have won Academy Awards. Some of the winning films are Blade Runner 2049 (2017), which won for cinematography and special effects. Vice(2018) for hair and makeup, Jojo Rabbit(2019) for best screenplay, and the biggest winner of the bunch, The Social Network(2010), which won three Oscars.
