The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum to close….

OK this collection makes me crazy – I love everything small and including cars and this collection that I learned about on Bring A Trailer. Which is one of my morning fixes – if you do not know it see it here and sign up for their daily updates. I went on the RM Auctions Site to see the auction lots and the realized prices from the February 15th and 16th auction held on site.
Sadly the museum is closing….it was in Madison, Georgia, and it held the largest single collection of microcars in the world. The museum collection was primarily focused on microcars from the late 1940s to pre-1964 range with engine sizes of 700cc or less and two doors or less. The museum was created by Bruce Weiner, an executive of Dubble Bubble, who started collecting microcars as a hobby! The entire collection was auctioned off by RM and the top selling price was for Lot 603 – 1958 F.M.R. Tg 500 ‘Tiger’ – Sold for $322,000. See the complete collection and prices here
