The LAX Gateway Pylon Project (officially titled Untitled) is the largest permanent art installation in the world.

It was created by the multi media artist Paul Tzanetopoulos and the towers have been casting their glow and marking the entrance to LAX since 2000. I have always wanted to know more about them and thanks to Los Angeles Magazine we all now can. From their monthly column How L.A. Works here I have been seeing a lot of this airport lately – but home now for a nice long stretch!
