Nylon Magazine recently asked Frank Ockenfels 3 to create these breathtaking photos of Pop-Punk’s Princess Avril Lavigne for the December 2021 cover.
Avril, who has been cited as an inspiration to today’s most iconic female pop stars, including Billie Eilish, Willow Smith, and Oliva Rodrigo, is here to promote her sixth studio album.
When asked about this new album, Avril responded, “it’s anthemic, and it’s powerful, and it has a positive message for people to stand up for yourself, to have self-worth.” It’s the album, she says, “I’ve wanted to make for my whole career.”
